Product Reviews on Go Dairy Free to 459 - Browse All Product Reviews Featured Recipe: Easy Weekend WafflesThis tasty recipe was created by Hannah Kaminsky, author of the new dessert cookbook My Sweet Vegan. Hannah uses part whole wheat flour for a little extra fiber, but feel free to use all-purpose exclusively for a fluffier treat. This recipe is vegan (egg-free, dairy-free), nut-free, and can be soy-free."These are wonderful to make when you get a spare

moment, easily frozen and then defrosted in a snap to create satisfying breakfasts all week long."2 Cups All-Purpose Flour1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour2 1/2 Cups Plain or Vanilla Soymilk [or milk alternative of your choice]2 Tablespoons Canola Oil1/4 Cup Brown Sugar1 Teaspoon Baking Powder1/4 Teaspoon SaltIt’s really a very simple procedure to make lovely, puffy waffles. Begin by heating up your waffle iron so it’s ready to receive batter. Combine all the dry

ingredients, and add in the wet. Stir to incorporate, but don’t over do it - Lumpiness is just fine!Once your iron is nice and hot, grease it with cooking spray or margarine. Ladle a healthy portion of batter on top. It really depends on the size of your waffle iron; so don’t be discouraged if the first batch of waffles is a little bit funny looking. Cook for about 4-6 minutes or so, and serve hot. If, however you’d like to save them for later like I do, allow them to cool for about 15 minutes on a wire rack. Wrap them up in a clean plastic bag, and just throw them in the freezer! Yields about 4 large waffles. Options: Toss in some blueberries, chocolate chips, or a teaspoon of cinnamon for a flavor variation.Number of Recipes on Go Dairy Free to 737 - Browse All Recipes RSS Go Dairy Free for our latest website features!
