Guest guest
I've never purchased nutritional yeast. I notice it's in several receipes I'd like to make. Where can I buy it? Brands?
Guest guest
I buy nutritional yeast from the bulk area of Whole Foods. I've also seen it at Central Market in bulk. Never looked for it in Krogers or Albertsons, but it's probably there. Although I looked askance at nutritional yeast for a long time, I started using it a few months ago and it is amazing stuff. It even makes the traditional Thanksgiving green bean casserole taste much better than the original recipe, enabling one to prepare GBC without dairy. Guest guest
Carol, Whole Foods, Sprouts and Central Market all carry it. I have been using it for over 15 years and it is great. I have a great " Cheese " recipe that uses it if you are interested. KAL Pharm. makes it and Red Star makes it in the bulk section. Full of B vitamins. Great for energy and gives food a Cheesy taste. I also like it on Italian food with olive oil sprinkled on it. These two, olive oil and yeast flakes are great on popcorn, great healthy snack.
