I was joined in by demonstration by Beverly Fyfe and Holly Elms, among others. Meanwhile, John Pippin wrote increasingly (legally) intimidating, but always polite letters to the Irving PTA and school district. It was a sad incident for IISD and the Irving PTA, who eventually "saw the light" and discontinued Donkey BasketballThe below is cross posted from NTARN. I just wanted to mention the history to show it isn't that hard to stop this kind of animal abuse. Animal advocates simply have to make a concerted and intelligent effort.
