Tell Loehmann’s to Go Fur Free

Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute recently contacted Loehmann’s — a national discount fashion retailer with more than 65 stores in 17 states — urging the

company not to sell fur. We also provided information about the inherent cruelties of fur fashion.

To our dismay, Loehmann’s refused to stop selling fur. Shockingly, the Loehmann’s representative who responded to us claimed that Loehmann’s is a supporter of animal protection causes — but then stated that the company would not stop selling fur.

Born Free USA united with API believes that fur used in modern fashion is a symbol of cruelty and disrespect for animals. Whether it is used as a full-length coat or only as trim, fur is the remains of a tortured and brutalized animal. Moreover, with beautiful faux-fur alternatives widely available there is no need to use animals to make a fashion statement or to turn a profit.

Please help fur-bearing animals today by urging Loehmann’s to go fur free.

Minnesota Residents:Help Prevent Prolonged Suffering in Cruel Animal Traps

Senator David Tomassoni (DFL-5) and Representative Tom Rukavina (DFL-5A) have introduced bills in the Minnesota legislature (S 3177 and H 3513) to lengthen the time that trappers can wait

before checking their traps —and releasing or removing captured animals.

Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute finds this unacceptable. We ask that you please contact your state Senator and state Representative today and urge them to oppose this legislation.

This legislation is currently being considered by the Environment and Natural Resources Committees of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, so please take action immediately to keep it from moving forward and allowing additional suffering for animals caught in traps in Minnesota.
