Guest guest Posted March 29, 2008 Report Share Posted March 29, 2008 Authorities seek woman who threw dog from car window in Irving 06:22 PM CDT on Thursday, March 27, 2008 By DEBORAH FLECK / The Dallas Morning News dfleck (AT) dallasnews (DOT) com Irving Animal Services is seeking the identity of a woman who threw a young miniature pinscher dog from her car window while driving eastbound on Rock Island Road around 8 a.m. March 20. Laura Forsythe, an Animal Services officer, said a motorcyclist driving behind the woman "saw her roll down the window and dangle the dog before dropping him onto the road." The witness described the vehicle as a black 1980s four-door Caprice with oxidized paint. Officials said the woman would be cited and could also face criminal charges. Rock Island Road Animal Services turned over the dog to the DFW Humane Society. Shelter manager Sarah Kammerer said the dog sustained serious bruises that will take a while to heal. "He's also suffering from road rash and has a few staples in his leg," she said. The dog, named Patrick, can be viewed on the shelter's Web site, www.dfwhumane. com, under Guardian Angel Fund.
