2008 Greetings! With the Steve Irwin safely docked in the Melbourne Docklands after the success of Operation Migaloo, we have shifted our focus to the Eastern Coast of Canada. There the Canadian sealers are preparing to brutally kill 325,000 baby seals. We have opposed this horrendous seal cull since 1977

and successfully ended the slaughter from 1985 to 1994. We now hope to end it again, as our ship the Farley Mowat heads North with our dedicated volunteer crew... Canada is about to kill 325,000 baby seals Sea Shepherd is on its way to intervene For the first time since 2005, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is heading north into the ice packs off Eastern Canada to defend baby harp seals from the ruthless clubs of Canadian sealers. The Sea Shepherd ship, Farley Mowat, departed March 24 from Bermuda, with an

international crew of volunteers, into the ice packs of the Gulf of St. Lawrence to once again act as shepherds in defense of the harp seal pups. There truly is no rest on planetary duty. We will not sit idly by and watch the largest marine mammal slaughter in the world happen unopposed. Thank you so much for your

support of our Antarctic Whale Defense Campaign and now for your continued support as we embark on our next campaign for the Canadian harp seals. For the Oceans, Paul WatsonFounder and President ----- email: captainwatson phone: +1 (360) 370-5650 fax: +1 (360) 370 5651 website: www.seashepherd.org
