Why isn't there an IQ/ignorance test for humans that want to get guns?

Officials reason these males are simply looking for love and take off to establish their own territory.

..................................

There is no hunting season for mountain lions in Kansas and they may not be killed due to their mere presence.

"People

ask us how we can protect them when we say we don't have them," Peek

said. "And I always say, 'Well first of all, we don't say we don't have

them and secondly, there is a general regulation that protects all

species for which there isn't an open season' so by default they're

protected because there's not a specific regulation that protects

mountain lions."

However, landowners can destroy

wildlife, including mountain lions found in or near buildings or when

destroying property. Animals killed in this fashion cannot be possessed

or used in any fashion. Pending completion in several weeks of the

investigations, the landowner who allegedly killed the cat could be

cited for killing and/or possession of the animal.
