Guest guest
After running across a post on a friend's facebook.com message board stating that the infamous dog in fact ran away, I became curious and searched for the latest analyses. This link, http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_starving_dog_art4.htm , is by far the best, and includes primary sources at the bottom of the page. I worry, though, that what is not being addressed is the fact that (and no matter if the dog escaped or not) being subject to confines for a pro-longed period is inhumane. 'Torture regardless', perhaps? The quote in my signature fits perfectly here: Beings are more than the sum of our economic appetites, and our country is more than an economic machine. -- Bill Moyers James
