These reasonable proposed animal related ordinances will help reduce the many thousands of animals that are euthanized annually in Dallas county. They will also help us to limit tethering and other forms of animal abuse. We must see these City of Dallas proposed ordinances enacted into law. Please call today. Margaret PERMISSION IS GIVEN TO CROSS POST TO ALL ANIMAL WELFARE GROUPS, ANIMAL ACTIVISTS/VOLUNTEER S/FRIENDS OF ANIMALS.************ ********* ********* ********* ********* ****MAC Member Groups & Subscribers: Today is the last day to call or fax the Dallas "Quality of Life" Committee before their hearing at noon in the City Council

Chambers, Dallas City Hall, on Mon. Apr. 28.(SEE COMPLETE LIST AT END OF E-MAIL.)Here is the latest from a breed group, by JOHN YATESThe American Sporting Dog Alliancehttp://www.american sportingdogallia nce.org"The City of Dallas is facing a series of animal control ordinancesthat will strip dog owners of all propert y rights to their animals, eliminate private breeding of purebred dogs, subject dog owners to unconstitutional searches and seizures ....."If you don't take the time to call or fax, as you can see that true radicals who outright lie about the wording of these ordinances will call. These ordinances do not regulate animals any more than the state and county regulates and registers our cars and our homes. These are all necessary

to an orderly and productive society.REMEMBER THIS: The city currently spends $155 per animal it handles, and we kill 83% of all that enter the shelter. Low cost spay/neuter programs cost about $55 per animal handled. Which is the better choice - it's obvious and taxpayers should not pay for the burden that irresponsible pet owners and breeders force upon them.PLEASE CALL/FAX TODAY!
