The Angelika assigned a theater to Blinders with a 100 seat capacity. Of the 39 people in the audience, I recognized 26 people as Vegetarian Network of Dallas members. Unfortunately, I don't know all of my 320 members by sight so there could have been more of us. I appreciated each of you, who came to Blinders for your support the showing of the first animal rights film to make it to a major theater in Dallas. This was an important action for animals. Obviously, we did not have much notice that Blinders was coming to Dallas. Given more time, I think we could have built momentum and gotten more attendance. But, at least the theater was almost one half full and the people who were there were enthusiastic. Blinders was a powerful film with a well done and interesting narrative. It was not at all depressing. I found it highly motivating and uplifting. Donny Moss is a potent voice for abused

horses and I hope we all continue to support him. We must help the carriage horses in NYC and in Dallas to obtain relief from their needless suffering. Please watch Vegetarian Network of Dallas emails for more information as to how you may personally help these poor animals, in NYC and in Dallas. It is a must see for animal advocates everywhere. Up until this time, D/FW theaters have refused to show an animal advocacy film because they say it will not sell tickets. This is our chance to pack the Blinders' house and prove that there is a D/FW market for compassion, who care about animals. Director Donny Moss will be in attendance to introduce the film and conduct a Q & A after. Vegetarian Network of Dallas will meet in the lobby prior to the film.
