Guest guest
On 5/10/08, fifteen of us peacfully leafleted and held signs to give voice to the voiceless. We made a lasting impression and convinced many, many potential customers not to shop at Staples (Forest/Preston). For instance, after I explained the purpose of our protest to one elementary school teacher, she said she would give extra credit to her students, who brought her a receipt for school supplies purchased from any store other than Staples. Another woman said she had intended to make a large purchase for her office, but she would instead speak to the Staples manager to explain why she would be spending her cash elsewhere. The purpose of our educational demonstration was to inform the public that Staples knowingly contributes to animal torture and murder by supplying goods to Huntingon Life Sciences, a large-scale abuser and killer of animals under the false mantle of research. HLS pseudo-research does nothing to benefit humans. Its only purpose is profit. For those who have not seen the HLS videos, there is film of a sadistic "researcher" savagely punching a beagle puppy in the face for struggling out of fear, as well as other even worse atrocities. See the photos of our 5/10/08 educational demo posted on Vegetarian Network of Dallas at: http://ph./photos Thanks so much to Carol Ware for taking these excellent photographs. Great job, Carol!
