OPRAH'S O AMBASSADORS - RE BABY GOAT SACRIFICE - pse politely remind her that

1) let her know (polite but firm-please be rational) that young ambassadors are not only there for people, but there for animals

and our planet as well. That kindness is taught by example, and violence is not tolerated.

2) let her know that an opportunity was lost to teach African children

that killing an animal is no way to bless anything! just be tactful on this one as it may be someone's idea of religion.

On Monday, Memorial Day, the 26th, Oprah aired a show about her "O Ambassadors", children from North America who went to Africa to help build a school there. Hundreds of children participated (perhaps thousands, the #'s are not clear, but it was a lot). The idea behind O Ambassadors is for children to do good around the world and to learn how wonderful it is to be giving. As the initiation of the new school in Kenya began, the locals decided to sacrifice a baby goat as some sort of believed blessing on the land!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, they did it, a voodoo sacrifice in front of hundreds of north american children!!!!!!!!!!! Most of the children seemed in disbelief that it was going to happen! Absolutely NO ONE stopped it from happening! Oprah's film crew filmed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS! Comments are very much needed at this time, a time when it appeared that Oprah was interested in spiritual enlightenment (which includes or SHOULD include kindness to animals)!

fail to see how this killing fits in with a higher spiritual plane.
