Guest guest
Thanks to Mark Peters for researching Dallas City Code on distributing leaflets and sending it to several local AR people, myself included. See below. I recommend to activists to know the law and be polite but firm to security and/or police officers, who wish to "discuss" this with you. And, most importantly, video such interactions. If security tries to interfere with your leafleting, call the police. In my experience, the police have always sided with my right to distribute leaflets. It's still good to know. Margaret*******************Attached is the updated Word.doc that contains the appropriate sections of the Dallas code. (I'm sending this to other activists as well; please feel free to forward.) Idea: always keep them handy so that demonstrators will always have a copy (regardless of which city we might happen to be having a demo in, but especially Dallas). The text is absolutely stellar; I so love living in a country with a great Constitution! Source: http://www.amlegal.com/dallas_tx/ SEC. 7A-10.
