MargaretSaying Goodbye to Buddy: When a Pet DiesJennifer Walz, L.Ac and Jinna Russell, LPC have just released their first book,Saying Goodbye to Buddy: When a Pet Dies. This is a children's book, intended to help children ages 5-10 understand the loss of a pet. Told with a series of beautiful photographs, the book chronicals the journey of a young boy's developing relationship with his dog, Buddy, and the sadness he feels when he learns Buddy is ill. The book covers the topics of euthanasia and grieving in a simple way that a child can understand. The story is followed by a workbook section that parents and other caregivers can go through with a child so that they can journal their grieving process and also create a memorial for their lost pet.
