Dear Horse Advocates,Have you ever heard that a horse will do anything a human tellsit to do? Well, it's true. Even when they smell the blood ofother horses, a horse will still trust a human.Imagine their horror!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't let America's former racehorses, work horses, andcompanion horses end up at a slaughterhouse, where they arepainfully killed and their meat is sent overseas for humanconsumption.Texas' attorney general has upheld that no transport of horsesthrough Texas to Mexico for slaughter and no transport of theirflesh through Texas for shipment overseas are legal, upholdingall the work we accomplished during the last legislativesession. But Texas' senators and representatives have a strongleadership role in this ... let's keep the pressure on to savehorses from the cruel and merciless transport and agonizingdeath in Canada, as well as Mexico.I've gained feedback from state legislators, and a phone callmakes the biggest impression. Then a fax comes in second. Ane-mail and/or Web form fall in last. Pick up your phone!I hope you will join me and urge your state legislators tooppose the pro-horse slaughter resolution at the NationalConference of State Legislatures annual meeting. It will onlytake a minute. Here is the link: https://community.hsus.org/campaign/NCSL_2008_horse_slaughter?rk=u1wsq15qrhDvW
