Guest guest
SAVE ELEPHANT JENNY! ATTEND IMPORTANT RALLY on SUNDAY, JULY 27, 1 - 2 PM! To D/FW Metroplex Citizens & Animal Advocates, This rally is our chance to save Jenny. Many people (100 +) must attend this rally if we are to influence the City of Dallas to do the right thing for Elephant Jenny. Jenny needs every person, who cares about her to attend to prove that Dallas does not want Jenny sent to a "drive-thru" tourist attraction in Mexico! Jenny can NOT afford anyone to stay at home. Indeed, her life may very well depend on it. Media will cover our rally, so if enough people come, it could Save Jenny. WHAT: Save Jenny Peaceful, Family-Friendly Rally WHEN: Sunday, July 27, 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.WHERE: Rally will be on the lawn next to the Giraffe statue, nearest the Freeway Entrance of Dallas Zoo 650 South R.L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75203NOTE: Banner, Posters & Save Jenny! stickers provided Concerned Citizens for Jenny. Just bring yourself and a friend.PARKING: Available in Freeway Entrance exterior/front Zoo parking lot. Public transportation is available by DART directly to the front door of the Zoos entrance. www.dart.com . SAVE JENNY Rally will be on the Freeway side of the Zoo on the lawn next to the Giraffe Statue, so you must walk only a short distance. Gather in Peaceful Solidarity for Jenny! Please put this on your calendar now & invite a friend. Please Cross Post Widely. The rally will not yet be held in the heat of the day, so just wear a hat or bring an umbrella and you will be fine. Stay for the entire hour or for whatever period of time you can, if only for 30 minutes. Just please come for Jenny! Background: Jenny has served the citizens and the families of Dallas for 22 years. Jenny is family. Many of us grew up knowing her. We owe it to Jenny to allow her to retire in peace and in the company of other elephants at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee , a USDA-approved elephant sanctuary, where she will have vast open space, natural conditions, and the company of other African elephants. Jenny does not deserve a miserable life in isolation in a drive-thru tourist attraction in Mexico. I have heard eye witness reports of what it is like and it is a small and terrible place, where Jenny will have a hard time and an unhappy life. Thank you.
