Help Save Jenny!

Demand a Public Hearing for Elephant at the Dallas Zoo

Following the sad death earlier this year of KeKe, a 39-year-old elephant at the Dallas Zoo, zoo managers have announced that her lone surviving elephant companion, Jenny, will be sent to Africam Safari, a drive-through tourist attraction in Mexico. But local decision-makers in Dallas could choose to send her to an elephant sanctuary right here in the U.S. instead. You can help make that happen!

Jenny, a 32-year-old African elephant who requires special handling and care, is a high-risk elephant with a serious history of aberrant behaviors at the zoo. Jenny’s problems were sparked by some of the very same conditions she will be exposed to at Africam, including loud noises and vehicles.

Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute is strongly opposed to shipping Jenny abroad and we ask that you weigh in urgently by writing to Dallas officials and city council members today.

Please find out more and send your message on behalf of Jenny now.

Stacey's work — predominantly designed from copper and sterling silver — includes sweet and endearing images of dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and little houses. And now, Stacey is proud to introduce her exclusive Born Free USA elephant pendant! Stacey designed this lovely necklace specifically to support the work of Born Free USA. Each piece is hammered, sawed, soldered, and stamped into a mini-masterpiece you wear or give as a gift.

When purchasing the Born Free USA elephant pendant, or any of Stacey's other jewelry or art pieces from her website, simply enter "BFUSA" in the comments section, and Stacey will donate 15% of each sale (minus shipping and taxes) to Born Free USA united with API.
