Guest guest
Dallas City Council has been on recess during the entire month of July. That means they have not personally experienced the many thousands of calls, faxes, and letters we have sent them about Jenny. Now that they are back in session, it is essential that we re-double our effort to Save Jenny and make those contacts again. A city insider told me that the City Council expects us to forget about Jenny soon and then, they will ship her to a miserable existence in Mexico. Please contact the Mayor and City Council this week and next and urge that Jenny be retired to The Elephant Sanctuary, after serving Dallas for 22 years. We learned on Friday that the city has begun the paperwork required by the U.S. government for shipping Jenny out of the country to Mexico. Please don't let that happen. Make your call today!Thank you.Margaret Concerned Citizens for Jennywww.concernedcitizensforjenny.netHOW TO TAKE ACTION FOR JENNY:1. Contact the Dallas MayorRepeatedly and politely call, fax, and email the mayor, whether or not you live in Dallas. If his office tells you to call the Zoo, courteously advise that you urge the mayor to intervene to send Jenny to The Elephant Sanctuary. And, that you do not want to call the Zoo. The Zoo will not change its plan unless the mayor insists.
