URGENT! Attend 8/13 Dallas City Council to Save Jenny

ATTEND AUGUST 13th

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO SAVE JENNY

Please attend this important City Council meeting. The City of Dallas is planning to ship Jenny to Mexico the first of October, so we have very little time to save her.

This is a psychologically pivotal moment. We must take advantage of it by having as many of us present as possible. The press will be present and will report on how many Concerned Citizens for Jenny are there (for good or for ill).

Why: We must show overwhelming community support for retiring Jenny to the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee. We must fill the room with Jenny supporters. We must double the number of people we had last week.

What: Dallas City Council Meeting

When: Wednesday, August 13 at 12:30 P.M. (until about 4 or 4:30 P.M.)

Where: Dallas City Hall, Council Chambers, 6th Floor (take the red or green elevators)

-- Metered parking behind City Hall on Marilla Street.

-- Private paid parking garages on Marilla, Young and Irving Streets.

Stickers: A CCFJ volunteer will give you a large "Save Jenny" sticker to put on your shirt when you step off the elevator to identify you as a Jenny supporter. A volunteer will show you to our block of seats.

Volunteers are needed at City Council meetings for the following:
