Circus animals are among the most abused animals on Earth. People who attend

the circus do not know that. Many who intended to buy tickets to the circus

have turned around and left after reading our leaflets, which educate on the

number of baby elephants and other animals who are killed, beaten, and injured

during circus training and performance.

VEGETARIAN NETWORK OF DALLAS is hosting several educational leaflettings and

peaceful demonstrations to educate the Fort Worth public about the abuses and

mistreatment of circus animals. PLEASE JOIN US!! We need all who are concerned

and wish to bring awareness to stop the suffering of these imprisoned beings!!

Signs and educational pamphlets will be provided -- all we need is you!

What: Leaflet at the Ringling Bros. Circus

When: Wed. August 13th and Thurs. August 14th at 6:00 PM (Shows begin at

7:30pm).

Where: Fort Worth Convention Center, 1201 Houston Street

Why: Circus animals are tortured, not trained into performing. Animals do not

exist for our amusement!!

Free Parking: There is plenty of free parking on the little side streets around

the FW Convention Center. Get there early to allow enough time to park and

walk.

Meet at the main entrance near the box office.

Watch for us leafleting in the crowd and/or holding signs.

" So, in the infinitely nobler battle in which you are engaged against error and

wrong, if ever repulsed or stricken down, may you always be solaced and cheered

by the exulting cry of triumph over some abuse in Church or State, some vice or

folly in society, some false opinion or cruelty or guilt which you have

overcome! And I beseech you to treasure up in your hearts these my parting

words: Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity. "

Horace Mann, the closing paragraph of his last Baccalaureate Sermon,

given to the students of Antioch College in 1859

Beings are more than the sum of our economic appetites, and our country is more

than an economic machine.

-- Bill Moyers
