DALLAS CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO SAVE JENNY

Please attend Wednesday Dallas City Council meetings. We urge you to attend as many of the next 6 or 7 City Council meetings

as you possibly can to advocate for Jenny's retirement to The Elephant

Sanctuary. Come for any amount of time that you can. Your presence in the audience at City Council is essential to helping Jenny! The fire and determination in our eyes

shows City Council the depth our resolution to retire Jenny to TES.

Jenny supporters in the audience are a force to be reckoned with. Jenny

supporters attendance at City Council meetings is having a tremendous

effect. We will not stop until Jenny sets foot in TES.

 

Why: We must show overwhelming community support for retiring Jenny to TES. Our weekly attendence at City Council makes a big difference. We must show them we are resolute and will not give up. REMEMBER: Elephants in AZA zoos live an average of 33-34

years and Jenny is

32.

The natural lifespan of an elephant is 70 to 80 years in the wild.

Please help retire Jenny to TES, where she has a good chance to live a

long and happy life.

-- Metered parking behind City Hall on Marilla Street.

-- Private paid parking garages on Marilla, Young and Irving Streets.

-- Metered parking in the circular drive directly outside of City Hall

 

Stickers: A CCFJ volunteer

will give you a large "Save Jenny" sticker to put on your shirt when

you step off the elevator to identify you as a Jenny supporter. A

volunteer will show you to our block of seats.

 

 

CCFJ Volunteers are needed in these important roles:

 

Project coordination: We need

reliable professionals, who will follow through and complete work to

which s/he commits. Work any amount of time, whether its one or four hours a week (or

as much as you want) from her or his own home to organize and complete

CCFJ projects, research and prepare evidence, make telephone calls,

etc.

 

At City Council meetings for the following:

-- Supporter Guidance: Help organize Jenny Supporters, i.e ushers, sticker distributors, sign-in people. Contact Catherine Chang ASAP if you are able to volunteer in this key role at cathonline or 214-821-5563
