Jenny to Tenny " button give away at the zoo this Saturday!

 

What: Button (and leaflet) give-away for Jenny the elephant

Where: Dallas Zoo (I-35 and Marsalis, just south of downtown)

When: Saturday morning, September 27, 9:30 - 12:30

 

Concerned Citizens for Jenny has kept the plight of our lone elephant in front

of the City Council and in the news. Unfortunately, many council members are not

listening to the citizens - but to a zoo director who has his own interests,

rather than those of our elephant, at heart. The AZA, to which our zoo director

answers, wants to keep elephants in zoos. We believe that zoos cannot properly

care for elephants and that Jenny should go to a sanctuary in Tennessee - where

she will have room to roam and friends to meet.

 

Let's continue to get the word out! Come for the entire morning, or for as long

as you would like. Feel free to bring signs - or just bring yourself. The DART

light rail stops at the zoo. If you would rather drive, you may wish to consider

car pooling, as there is a charge to park at the zoo.
