Guest guest
Well, saw me off and call me Shorty. It turns out there is an ordinance in Frisco prohibiting this activity: Barbara Richardson of Homeward Bound Animal Rescue spoke with the Hicks Elementary principal, and the dog will be adopted without having the auction. They were unaware they were violating an ordinance. Long ago I stopped caring WHY people do the right thing, as long as they do the right thing. This is another good outcome because somebody cared. Now, here’s where we can shine as an animal rights community. The school is looking for an alternative animal friendly item to auction. Put on your thinking caps and figure out if we can connect them with vendors who can provide animal-related auction items: boarding, training, food, pampering package, etc. Let me know what you find and I’ll put them together to send to the principal on behalf of our community. Thanks Barbara for stepping up. JJP Checked by AVG. Version: 7.5.524 / Virus Database: 270.7.5/1698 - Release 9/29/2008 7:25 PM
