Please join us in supporting the Texas "Veggin'-out" Days Campaign this week!

 

This outreach campaign was created as a way to encourage all Texans to "dine out" and support their local veggie restaurants in honor of both World Vegetarian Day (October 1) & World Farm

Animals Day (October 2 - Mahatma Gandhi's Birthday) each year. Society of PEACE received an award from the North American Vegetarian Society for creating this vegetarian outreach campaign in 2006.

Texas "Veggin'-out" Days is a great opportunity for everyone to support their local vegetarian/vegan restaurants! If you are in the Houston area, we recommend the restaurant guides at either VeganHouston.org or VSHouston.org. For a list of veggie restaurants throughout the state of Texas, visit HappyCow.net. *While not every city in Texas may have a vegetarian restaurant, you can still participate by ordering a veggie meal at your local restaurant or by hosting a meal or picnic in your area.
