Jenny needs every one of her supporters to attend this Wednesday morning's Dallas City Council when Lily Tomlin will speak.We must show City Council that we continue to strongly support Jenny's retirement to The Elephant Sanctuary. City Council the depth of our resolution to retire Jenny to TES. REMEMBER:

Jenny is suffering NOW. Jenny is languishing her pitiful life away in a tiny enclosure at the Zoo. She is miserable, which is evident from her swaying. A habitat that won't be built for at least

two or three years does not make Jenny's life any better today. Dallas

Zoo says it plans an expanded habitat, but its stated time line is a canard. Look at the facts. The Zoo only published a request for proposals in a few weeks ago. They don't even have a plan yet and are

nowhere near to even breaking ground. The Zoo says the habitat will take 15-18 months to build, but that is a best case time line from the point that they start building. As Councilman Razansky said, no city project has ever been completed on time.

The natural lifespan of an

elephant is 70 years of age, but elephants in AZA Zoos live an average of 34 years. Jenny is 32. Help retire Jenny to TES where she has her best chance of a long, healthy, and happy life in one of the best elephant habitats in the world. For this Wednesday ...What: Dallas City Council Meeting

When: Wednesday, October 15 at 9 to 11:30 AM. Plan to get there no later than 8:45 AM. We will probably be finished much earlier than 11:30, possibly by 10:30 AM. This the best information I have right now. It is not that easy to deal with City Hall but if additional information becomes available, I will publish it so watch email.
