They have to be able to roam."The Dallas Zoo has unnaturally confined Jenny in a less than 1/4 acre enclosure for 22 years. After the citizens of Dallas and indeed, the world, rose up en mass in objection to the zoo's plan to transfer Jenny to Mexico, the zoo backed down. Even still, they would not allow Jenny to go to TES, where her needs would be best served. Instead they announced a few months ago that they will build a 4 acre exhibit at some undetermined point in the future. The zoo resists transferring Jenny to TES because the Association of Zoos and Aquariums considers Jenny a commodity they want to control. If they allowed her to go to TES, they would admit the zoo is not a proper place for her. The zoo always have a reason for not doing the right thing by Jenny but none of their reasons are justified. She could have so much more at TES, where she could live as elephants were meant to live.Please do not give up on Jenny. Continue to speak for her. She needs you now more than ever.
