See below link Please politely thank reporter Heather Hayes for her interest in Jenny and to Fox for reporting on Jenny. Also, please express your views on Jenny and what is fair to her. As you know, the Zoo plans to keep Jenny confined to less than 1/4 acre while they build the $30-40 exhibit that is 3.75 acres (not 10) that does not meet the needs of elephants. And, just because Jenny doesn't have observable foot abscess at the time of the photo doesn't mean that she hasn't had repeated severe abscesses in the past and likely will again, as such is a disease of confinement. Although I sincerely believe Ms. Hayes is well-intentioned, note how Jenny is swaying in the video. Likely Fox doesn't know that indicates extreme stress in elephants as it was unremarked upon.
