Earn Tabling dollars for your favorite group!

That's right, the CVA will pay 2 people at each table $12.00 per hour This will be donated to any non-violent animal advocacy or vegetarian group of your choice. Your other helpers will be there with paid bus, bridge or parking receipts. You & your helpers will all receive a free T-shirt as well! And a complete tabling kit with a CVA table Cloth! After the event you can decide as a group where you want the dollars to be donated to, or splitting it is possible as well.

 

MORE ON TABLING….. As we strive to search for and list tabling opportunities, we would appreciate it if you hear of any options in your area that might be conducive to our message (whether you can work the table or not and whether it is religious in origin or open to the general public), that you simply let us know. This would encompass Christian events, "Green Events", Farmers Markets, Festivals and Fairs, etc.

Let's make it a Christian Vegetarian Event. In past years this has been a perfect combination and opportunity for tabling and sharing with the general "green" community of the importance of a plant based diet for the planet!

Simply let us know what event you want to do and we will advise you further and send you a complete tabling kit.

My plan was to leaflet a little bit before the concert but to do most of it after the concert was over. (My experience is that people are more inclined to carry a leaflet to their car rather than carry it into a concert.) Unfortunately, rain started as the concert ended. Masses of people rushed out of the building and started running to their cars because they were not prepared for the rain. I stood under an overhang and many people briefly stopped there to get a break from the rain. That's when they got a leaflet.

To minimize thrown away leaflets, I gave them out conservatively to people who showed an interest in my opening line about helping animals. I paused leafleting when the rain was heavy and resumed when it got lighter. I gave out the whole box.

A number of people thanked me for being there and seemed happy to get a leaflet. One boy who eagerly took one said "God bless you" after he looked at it. Lana-Winter Jam

We had a great night of outreach in Phoenix AZ at the RAGE Music Festival. Bill and Jone Schramm and I distributed 650 CVA brochures. The crowd was mostly young and super friendly. Some people mentioned getting a brochure inside. Is there any chance someone was inside distributing? Thanks! Jeff

Prepare some brief answers ahead of time to questions such as, "Who's

doing this?" or "What's this all about?" If people wish to engage you while

you are busy handing out pamphlets, either refer them to the CVA (e-mail

address on the back of pamphlet) or offer to talk to them shortly after the

event starts.

He states, "Consumers…get cheap chicken, even if much of it is contaminated with salmonella, antibiotics and other undesirable pollutants. As the world's biggest chicken producer, the United States is also the leading exporter of chicken…which is sold overseas at rock-bottom prices. Those dumped exports in turn decimate the chicken industry in many developing countries. Tally it up. This is a weekly reminder to go to the CHRISTIAN VEGETARIAN ASSOCIATION CALENDAR GROUP and log in at: , and check the calendar for the latest events in your area.

Remember the CVA pays you $18.00 per hour, per person, that will be donated in your name, to a non-violent animal rights or vegetarian group of your choice! Just think how that could add up if all from your group participated! This can be donated to national groups or to your local small group.

Simply Log in. You will be at the "Home Page". Look at the column of options on the left. Go to "Calendar". (Look at the other options while you're at it!) You will see the entire month, but if you go to the "Search" window on the right of the calendar screen you can enter TN, OH, CA, (not the city) or whatever state you live in or will be visiting. Check the "in Titles" box and hit "GO". This will bring up all the words that have those 2 letters in them (that's why sometimes it will show other states too.) From there you can decide which events you are interested in. Click on the blue letters for more details. Confirm the dates and times at the website provided there, and then email me that you want to do it. Please include the date, state, and event in your email subject line as well. . This is very important! It's that simple! I will take it from there.
