Leafleters Needed!

Earth Day is April 22, but Earth Day events will be taking place all during the month of April, which means it's the perfect time to remind people who care about our planet and its inhabitants that raising animals for food is one of the biggest contributors to the most serious environmental problems. A 2006 United Nations report concluded that raising animals for food causes more greenhouse gas emissions than all of the world's cars, trucks, SUVs, planes, and ships combined!

 

We need your help to distribute copies of our Go Green, Go Vegan! flyer, which details some of the environmental consequences of eating animal products.

 

If you are able to print your own flyers, please do so! It will save us much-needed funds. To open a printable PDF version of the flyer The flyers print on standard 8 ½ by 11 inch paper, but should also print fine on A4 paper for those of you in Australia, the UK, etc.

 

If you are unable to print out your own flyers and you can commit to passing out 50 flyers or more, please reply with the requested information and we will be very happy to send them to you!

^ These are the most cost effective amounts for us to ship.

* We can send more than 250 if you have a large festival or event or if you have friends helping; just let us know how many you need and how you are using them.

 

Some distribution ideas:

- Leaflet at Earth Day or green events.

- Pass out flyers in front of a grocery store.

- Leaflet on your local college or high school campus, or on the main street near the campus.

- Pass out flyers at concerts.

- Pass out flyers at your church.

- Pass out flyers at the mall. [Check for legality first.]

- Distribute flyers to your friends and family.

 

After your outreach please send us a report letting us know where you did outreach, how it went, and about any positive interactions.

 

Take photos!

Please take a few photos if possible and send them to us. We will add them to our online networking sites' photo albums [with your permission].

As a thank you we will send you an AFA bumper sticker and enter you to win a free AFA t-shirt or hoodie.*

*One out of five people who report back will win an AFA shirt. One out of 20 will win an AFA hoodie. Everyone who reports back will receive an AFA bumper sticker!

 

Free Distribution Ideas:

- Save the PDF file to your computer, then attach the PDF to e-mails and send it to all of your friends!

- Post a link to the PDF on your MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, or other website. Visit our literature page for PDF versions of more flyers, recipes, and vegetarian starter kits.
