Guest guest
MAC Groups and E-groups Subscribers:There is an excellent article on the ASPCA Web site about how to report animal cruelty that we wanted to share with you. While some of the laws apply to the state of New York or New York City, most of it is common sense and standard in most parts of the U.S. and is excellent information. I would encourage you to circulate it to your groups and volunteers and become familiar with it so you might know what to do when you encounter a situation of cruelty. We can never be armed with too much information when animal lives are in peril. This article is also available in Spanish with a link to that right at the top of the page. There is also information for teachers in the article. There are many sub-sections about specifics and answers to frequently asked questions. You may need to cut and paste the link below into your browser, or use this link to access directly from here:http://tinyurl. com/yjasvknhttp://www.aspca. org/fight- animal-cruelty/ reporting- cruelty-faq. htmlI always recommend keeping copies of all local animal ordinances in your vehicle because if you have occasion to call 311 or the Police, quoting the ordinance you are complaining about will sometimes get attention.Thank you for being on the look-out for animal cruelty and for reporting it. Please read and/or keep a copy of this excellent article.Elaine Munch, PresidentMetroplex Animal Coalition
