Animal Rights 2010 is the largest and longest-running gathering of animal rights

advocates in the world. More than 90 presenters from 60 groups will participate

in a hundred sessions. All viewpoints that support the goal of animal liberation

from all forms of human oppression are welcome.

Beyond the traditional 5-track structure (problems/issues, organizing, tactics,

raps/reports, and videos), this year's program offers a number of exciting new

features including morning and evening plenaries and intensive hands-on

workshops. Monday following the conference will offer hands-on training,

lobbying, and demonstrations by participating groups.

The Conference is organized by Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM) and

co-sponsored by In Defense of Animals, Int'l Primate Protection League,

E-Magazine, Anti-Fur Society, VegNews Magazine, Stop Animal Exploitation Now,

United Poultry Concerns, and League of Humane Voters.

Boy, do I wish I could attend that. Unfortunately, it’s

too far and of course, I can never get away for anything overnight with my

small animal sanctuary. If anyone in this group is attending please, I’d

love some feedback or any other information you can share.

Thanks.

" Never doubt that a small group of

thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing

that ever has. " -Margaret Mead

I am

sometimes asked " Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking

about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men? " I answer:

" I am working at the roots. "

George T. Angell, 1823-1909

" We

must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim.

Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. "
