Guest guest
Helen, > YES Fish, vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes/lentils, rice/oats > etc, non fat yoghurt, cottage and riccotta cheeses. Sounds like you and I are on the same " Yes " foods. Being sugar sensitive and feeling like I'm being restricted does not work. Feeling like hanging onto someting to just fall. From a mindset prespective I think of these " Yes " foods as " High Power Foods " which will heal my body. Perhaps this mindset may help you as well. Great thing about this RR Program is that you have to eat. It can be very fun trying new foods to experment with and try making. What step of the program are you now on? Welcome to the Group. Guest guest
Hi Bob, thanks for the welcome. Hadn't thought of looking at things from that mindset perspective; great idea, I will take it on board and run with it. Must admit I was looking at it from the 'deprived' angle and feeling food was just becoming too hard to cope with. I love cooking, but living by myself and just cooking for one sometimes just seems too much of an effort, and I opt for the easy way out. Negative thinking I know. Have never been one for fast/takeaway foods, I prefer to know what goes into what I eat. Helen. Guest guest
Helen, I know exactly how your feeling and started to have some tears when reading your post. At least you know how to cook.... I've been doing " lazy cooking " . Opening a can of garbanzo & kidney beans dumping them in a bowl adding olive oil & pepper, eating 1/3 of what's there and calling it a meal. You can do this program, it works. It's the only program that works long term over time. Be kind to yourself, listen to music, take a walk, buy some new lipstick, etc. Very Glad to have you here, you're in the right place at the right time.
