Guest guest
Hello everyone, I am a new member to this group and hope to get some advice on good protein choices. A few years ago I first attempted this program but didn't get very far. Now about 3 years later I am ready to try again and hope to succeed. I have been abusing my body for far too long and I think at this point it is screaming at me to change, but I haven't started to listen until now. :) I am following an almost vegan diet (no dairy or meat, but do eat fish occasionally). I don't think I am getting enough protein at my meals. I am also nursing which increases my protein needs even further. Some examples of meal choices for me are quinoa/or millet plus beans/or tofu plus vegetables. I am not sure how much tofu or beans I should add to the grains to get sufficient protein. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!! I also have problems with snacks inbetween. Given the fact that I am nursing it is advisable for me to have a snack between meals. But that is usually the time when I fall off the wagon and it is downhill from there for the day. Again, any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
