I guess perhaps I should have gone slower. Actually I had been

eating vegan and whole grains and dieting my whole life as the winds

blew so

the changes I have needed to make food wise was the going to more

protein, adding the potato and getting off sugar. Eventually I will

get off coffee but will wait to safely do that one. This week I am

determined to just do morning cup with breakfast. Then wean down from

there.

I can see that this diet is going to be biochemically exactly right

for me and going to make life a quality life amidst the turmoil of

the world. I am so grateful I stumbled on the book and found my way

here. Frappes, Lattes and Moolattes have been my big problem, then

leading into a rich brownie or whatever. I never have drunk sugar in

my coffee at home but have hit the sugared ones out on the road big

time. They are such a social thing too.

My daughter and I made it through a group meeting, Thursday evening,

at Barnes & Noble amidst all their fancy coffees and we sipped

bottled water,

rushed home and put our potatoes on to boil.

My daughter is going slowly through the steps as

outlined. She wasn't dieting before. Janice
