Hi everyone,

I've been reading earlier posts about cooking either regular oatmeal or steel

cut oats.

When I ran out a steel cut oats, I used a faster-cooking oatmeal, and I felt

like it didn't hold

me as long. I had more cravings for sweets, too.

Now I'm back on steel cut oats, and my shake is holding me longer. I tried

cooking enough

for a week and really enjoyed the texture of the shake.

However, since I don't always plan far enough in advance, I tried just soaking

enough for the

next day's shake in water in the fridge overnight rather than cooking them. The

texture of

the oats was not quite as good as cooked, but soft enough to make the shake

good!

Now I'm doing that every night. It requires less effort for me at this point.

Leah, what a great way to get your steal

cut oats in your shake! Thanks for sharing this :)
