Guest guest
Hi everyone! Just joined this group as I thought it would be really helpful to my new meat-free lifestyle. I have decided to become a vegetarian for cruelty-free reasons - animal lover! I wonder if any of you can advise me, therefore, of a good vegetarian cook book with the substantial protein in mind. I am also dairy intollerant and cannot be doing with the normal cheese! If anyone has any advice or, for that matter, recipes to impart, I would be very grateful. I live in the UK by the way and have begun to read Kathleen DesMaison's books on the advice of my counsellor. I am only doing step 1 at present (breakfast) I am not exactly doing it all correctly: for instance, I take longer than an hour for breakfast and sometimes still skip it. My head is all over the place at present and although my life is perhaps not considered by most, chaotic, it feels so to me. I use protein powder (soya isolate). I have lived a life of eating junk-food. I hardly cook, as I live on my own and find it overwhelming and stressful. I have used the " George's Shake " recipe with soya milk of course and sometimes add coconut milk to it too. I like it with half cup pineapple juice added. Anyway, enough about me. Looking forward to 'meeting' u all! Best wishes, Irenie Essex, UK
