Guest guest Posted June 7, 2006 Report Share Posted June 7, 2006 Hi everyone, I've had to change the group settings on this list so that only moderators can upload files or photos. The reason for this is that Spammers are getting trickier. It used to be if we kept new people on moderated, and their first post was Spam we could delete it and remove the member and you all were none the wiser . It's one of the ways we keep the lists safe. Well we had a spammer this week join another list and upload a text file into the files section of spam. There's no option to moderate people so we have to approve files, we either can allow you to upload them, or not. SO, long story short, we had to change it so that only moderators can upload items. This is what we do to keep the list safe. That doesn't mean you can't upload anything, especially recipes! If there is something you want to share, let me know and I can probably upload it for you .
