Guest guest
Hi, my name is Lynn. I have been doing the program for awhile, and it has changed my life. A friend of mine was telling me about her vegan lifestyle, and I was intrigued. I was wondering if anyone here does the program vegan- style. I would be very interested to hear the things you eat. I am also interested because I have a son who is allergic to peanuts, dairy and eggs. This might be a good food plan for him, too. He is so burned out on burgers and hot dogs and chicken nuggets, all he ususally eats is whole wheat bread all day long. Thank you for your help! Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I've been doing the program fro 4+ years as a Vegetarian. Last December tried doing it as a Vegan, it only lasted 1 month, and was too difficult for me at that time. To get enough protein was eating way to much soy and I did not feel good as noted in my journal. It may work for you and other folks. What I try to do now is have at least 1 vegan meal each day rather then full time. Staying 100% on the Food Program is much more important then almost anything else to me. Guest guest
Lynn, I would like to add that Kathleen says NOT to give children SOY. You might enjoy joining us over on the parents list. Everyone talks about lots of ideas and different foods for kids. J Stacey On Behalf Of Bob Monday, June 26, 2006 11:14 AM To: Re: Are there any Vegans here? Guest guest
Thank you, Stacey and Bob, for your replies. I think what I'll do is just add lots of fresh veggies and fruits to my diet and call it 'good enough.' I am going to take your suggestion, Stacey, and join the parents' list again. I found that list to be very helpful when I got my children started on the program a few years back. I'll see you there!
