Guest guest
I eat eggs, beans, cheese and fish (probably with mercury), Lynn, to get my protein. I don't use much soy anymore because of my diminished thyroid uptake. I avoid eating pig, cow, birds and milk. This and never having smoked has paid off for me over the years as far as appearance is concerned, I can tell you that much. I am 74 but people are credulous when they find that out. (However, if they see me getting up from a chair or going down stairs, there's the give away!) For protein powder, I am using brown rice protein at this point. I do fall short some days on my protein requirement but usually come pretty close. As I posted here once, you usually just calculate your major protein choice but there is protein in some of the other foods you are eating (whole grains for instance) and surprisingly they add too.
