Guest guest
Hi Patti, I would probably stop for Mexican food on my way to a game. Grocery store ideas: hummus and blue corn tortilla chips (yum!), cheese sticks, a deli sandwich (egg salad?), hard boiled eggs (if available)...maybe a whole wheat bagel with hummus? Or peanut butter? The challenge for me is that my *usual* proteins are beans and tofu, and these wouldn't be easily available in a portable format from the grocery store. So I would probably go for a veggies and cheese sandwich from the deli section, and then add a side of cheese sticks or hummus or peanut butter or egg to bump up the protein. It's a good question. " On the go " meals are one of the hardest areas for me; I do much better when I can plan, plan, plan. Guest guest
Sharon, I like your protein ideas, sounds just like what I would eat, like a picnic. The most difficult food group for me to get out of the house are " Good Browns " . Places might have whole wheat toast, but it has honey in it. Or Bagels with high fructose, etc. Really need pure browns for the program to work well for me. That's always been one of the largest challanges. I especially like the stopping for Mexican food one. <big smile> I really like Mexican food, especially guacamole, yum! Can you tell it’s about dinner time?
