Guest guest
Hi Melissa, welcome! I get my morning protein from cottage cheese. The brand I buy has 28 grams of protein in a cup, so it's a very protein-rich food. I have mine with pineapple and a couple of slices of whole wheat toast. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Hi Melissa, Welcome to the Radiant Recovery Vegetarian Group. A quick guide to protein content in veggy foods is listed under *Files* (to the left on your page). This list is so helpful. Fish and Poultry are also good dense protein sources. 36 grams feels like lot's at first, but it will become a good habit over time. You may be interested in purchasing some Georges Junior Shake Mix. It's a great way to start your day and it's just a snap to make in the morning. Some people like to blend fruit into it = Yumm. Breakfast was one of the hardest steps for me, never really ate any food prior to lunch. Feel really good about having breakfast with protein within 1 hour of waking up everyday. For the first couple of months I had either cottage cheese & toast or a tuna sandwhich for breakfast, just wanted to stay on target everyday. Please continue connecting with the group, it really helps to hear how other people worked the steps as well. It's good to stay connected, it's a real nice way to go. Glad your here. Guest guest
Have you tried a protein shake? There is an online breakfast support group, which is wonderful. Similar to the way you joined this group. If you have trouble finding it, please let us know. Good for you to start with breakfast. Following the RR program steps, slowly and in order, is your best bet! Good luck, Tania --- imani7191 <imani7191 wrote: > my name is Melissa...i am starting out at step one, > of course...in this > program...my calculations are that i need 36 grams > of protein...that is > quite a drestic change for me...which i am willing > to make....how do > you get 36 grams of protein in the morning...some > ex. would be nice..i > eat largely vegetarian but will eat fish and > poultry...so any help with > this would be greatly appreciated.. > > > > > > > >
