Guest guest
Hi all, I am going to eat more vegetarian meals and I wanted to know where a good place would be to get recipes for lentils, adzuki beans and black beans. I am guessing that you use beans for the protein and rice or other grains for the brown, right? I don't eat soy protein, can't tolerate it. I can drink soymilk, no problem there. I am also gluten and dairy free. Do you also count the protein in the grain as well when you are vegetarian? I saw the files section where there are lists of protein sources. I just want to get some recipe ideas. I have been pretty sick and find that I am not wanting animal protein very much right now. Things that I used to like taste yucky to me. I used to like smoked salmon now I don't. I am about 128 pounds. I am making yellow mung dahl for dinner with carrots, onions and kale. I have some leftover soy noodles I will have with it. Have a great day, June
Guest guest
Hi June, Welcome to the group, were really glad to have you here with us. I'm sure that folks here will provide recipes for you, no doubt. A few really good sources of protein are Georges Shake, some Protein Powders, and my fav. Nuts Almonds, Cashiews, Peanuts, Walnuts. In fact Costco has some very reasonably priced Mixed Nuts which are so fresh and good. I also like veggy dog's (Morningstar Brand Recommended), and veggy hamburgers. Yes to answer your question on Grains = Browns as long as they are not being used as proteins. Nice to have you here.
