Either a shake with skim milk and fruit and a shot of flax

oil and rice toast or bagel or cottage cheese and fruit and bagel or rice

toast.

Bob, tonight at tai chi we were breathing into different

parts of our lungs and lower back, etc. What an interesting feeling. I have

also been listening to a beginners meditation tape with the learning focus on

breath and breathing. Very calming and focusing and sometimes not.

I have been experimenting with my breathing all summer

trying to work with it and my bike riding.

Never realized there was so much to learn about breathing.

Allison,

I'm glad that the standing vacant eyed day's are over. Yes, I remember them

well, not

being able to decide which White Shirt to wear, looking back that was really

dumb...... I

also remember that Elton John, decided he truly had a drug problem when it

really

bothered him that his outfit of the day did not match the interior of his

private jet (LOL).

come after breakfast. And finding an outfit is much easier when my blood sugar

isn't

crashing - none of that standing vacant eyed in front of the closet, unable to

make a

decision.

Cindy,

Just love the expression " shaker " , sounds so cool!!!!!

BTW @ home take my clothes to the laundry. I only iron when traveling on

business.

Mostly do it the night before so I don't damage anything in the morning (LOL).

I know that

I'm being cruel but Guy's and Irons just don't work well together.

Beverlee,

Increased Awareness is a Huge Part/Net Result of " Doing the Food " . Really that

your

adding a shot of flax oil (it's soooo good for you) too. Your breakfast combo

sounds really

healthy and Very Familiar. We could almost do breakfast together in different

parts of

the country, no how fun would that be!!!!!

Oh, have a heart! If you are going to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars customizing the interior of your jet, you wouldn't want your outfit to clash, would you? :) GailBob <yogabob7 wrote: Allison,I'm glad that the standing vacant eyed day's are over. So far, I've always been able to match my outifit to the interior of my private

jet LOL

Actually, the dog hair on my outfit always matches the dog hair in the interior

of my car.

Hi Bob,

My husband and I both start the day with a shake. I " blend " the night

before and then store the shakes in the refrigerator overnight so I

don't have so much noise in the morning. I have to get up earlier

than he does, so I try to keep my morning activities to a minimum.

I'm used to the shake now and just love it. I find it very soothing

to find the shake waiting for me when I get to the kitchen in the

morning. It feels to me like " being looked after " . Isn't that

silly? :-)

The other nice thing is that I can exercise pretty soon after eating

the shake and eating some homemade whole wheat bread without any " side

effects " from being too full.

Pati,

Hello to Texas!!!

Sounds like the shake is working out really well for you. WOW making it the

night before

and having it ready to go is a really good idea. Do you have to re-mix at all

or is it still in

good shape?

Also the feeling of " being looked after " is HUGE. When I read that in your post

just gave

me a real big warm feeling, I understand.

Gail,

Come to think of it, I've only used the laundry services one time in all the

years that I've

traveled, guess my issue is not sure when I'm going to get the clothes back.

I also really like your idea of calling a hotel in advance and ordering a Baked

Potato.

What's I've done is try to get to a Wendy's and do the drive up window. Two

summers ago

when I was working on a project in Philly, walked to the Wendy's every night at

10:00pm,

was nice to know it was waiting for me.

Gail,

It was so bad for Elton, that he refused to fly until it was fixed, according to

an interview,

now that's wacky.

I think about that and smile everytime I open up my bag of food on flights now.

I just love

the fact that Airlines are selling food now, another real good reason to bring

my own.

Oh, they'll get them back to you the same day if you leave them out early enough. Also, less time if you pay more. I don't think you have to be on drugs to worry about your outfit matching your jet interior. Versace is launching a project this fall to design jet interiors... But that's off-topic. Logging out for the weekend to enjoy Sukkot, our harvest holiday! Lots of program friendly treats. have a nice weekend, all! See you Monday. I start my mornings with a shake, too. I have a much

easier time eating as soon as I get up when I make a

shake as opposed to cook eggs. I make a shake with

1/2 a banana or some strawberries and 8 oz oat milk

and 8 oz chocolate almond milk. I change how I make

my shake every 6 months or so. I just started adding

the chocolate almond milk because the stores around

here just started carrying it. It livens my shake up

a bit. For my son, I make a shake of oat milk and

George Jr. Then he eats oatmeal and the other 1/2 of

my banana or some other kind of fruit. Occasionally,

I'll put the George Jr. right in the oatmeal. I think

the consistancy is gross when I do that but he seems

to like it.

I know what you mean about living in the moment. I

don't meditate very often, but I have noticed that if

I focus on the muscle I'm working out instead of just

doing the workout thinking of what I need to get done

afterwards, I feel differently afterwords. I take

classes at the Y and the instructor is always telling

us to focus. I feel a lot better afterwards if I can

get through the workout without my mind wandering.

Hi everyone,

I started doing all 7 steps from the start, about two months ago. However, I have stopped the journal temporarily. I decided to give myself permission to stop until my master's thesis is completed. Maybe I will start again once I am past the most difficult part of the thesis.

I feel much more balanced and have higher self-esteem, now that I am off sugar. I was taking St. John's Wort everyday and now I do not need it.

Fruit tastes sweet enough to satisfy without the overindulgence. I have found that the fruit does not trigger further desire for a more sugary products. However, I do think about my favorite treat and think every few months or a couple times a year is okay. I miss some of my other favorites too. I am also staying away from flours except for occasionally. I eat corn tortillas, brown rice, quinoa. There is a brown rice tortilla at whole foods that is pretty good I have sometimes too.

I just started having the shake more often. It is fast, and easy. I even put lettuce in it!

I have gone to a raw food restaurant a couple of times and felt great after the meal, I was not hungry again for several hours, much longer than after a cooked meal. I want to start having more raw food. (waiting for a couple of uncookbooks from amazon.) But not sure how to get 20 grams of protein at a meal. I was reading one place not to mix raw and cooked food. (Of course it may be for the full-time raw foodist.) But if I am eating a meal of raw food I would like to stick to the principle if it makes a difference. I cannot imagine eating a full cup of raw nuts which comes in at 680 -840 calories. Any suggestions?

It it great to have fellow radiant people to communicate with. I just joined radiant northern California too.

Blessings, Deanna

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the reply and the welcome.

My shake does " settle " a bit in the refrigerator overnight, but

giving the container a few vigorous shakes seems to mix it right

back together again with no problems. And the good taste and

appealing scent of the vanilla in it helps make me feel more like

eating at that early hour.

Thanks for all the help and support.

Pati,

After our conversation, I tried keeping my shake overnight too. I second the

idea of

shaking up the shake again (does that count as Cardio?).

Hope you have a Great Day.

Hi Bob!

Thank you for your answer and warm welcome, and sorry it took me so

long to write back. Lemon and yoghurt is really great, I especially

like the thicker yoghurt with 10% fat, it's wonderful. This morning

I tried banana, kiwi and yoghurt, it was great too!

I'll try the breathing into Chakras next time I run, it sounds very

interesting!
