Guest guest
I once consulted with a nutritionist who advised me to add seaweed to soups and stews to add minerals and other nutrients. She said to add just a small piece, not enough so the stew or soup tastes like kelp minestone or something. Guest guest
I think Macrobiotic cookbooks use a lot of seaweed recipes. That would be a very good place to look. There are also seaweed recipe cookbooks, but they are fewer & farther between. I got a nice vegetarian one from Amazon, but haven't tried recips yet. My dad likes to sprinkle in homemade salad dressing, and in stews & soups. ~Tina , " Bob " <yogabob7 wrote: > > A friend of mine gave me Dulse Flakes. Guest guest
I add it when I make quinoa or amaranth or millet. My nutritionists told me the same. Just a little bit. Karen
Guest guest
Karen, I'll try it with next round of quinoa. Usually when I make quinoa also add garbanzo and kidney beans too. Next time I'll add some Dulse Flakes.... Thank you, Bob , KP <karflower555 wrote: > > I add it when I make quinoa or amaranth or millet. My nutritionists told me the same. Guest guest
Hi Bob, My name is Mary and I've been a loyal lurker for a few months now. I enjoy your posts and positive energy. I love Dulse flakes and sprinkle them on lots of food--especially stir-fry's and such. It gives an additional salty taste so it's good to reduce other salt. I sometimes chew on pieces of dulse when I'm cooking. Yum! Mary G.
Guest guest
Hi Mary G., A BIG WELCOME to a " Loyal Lurker " , thanks for coming out. You really like Dulse, really like the idea of sprinkling it on Stir Fry's. Dulse looks like a very pure food that I would have gone my entire lifetime without, except for the power of recovery here. The power of recovery from food addiction is so huge and life changing, which many people really appreciate. Thank you for being here.
