Guest guest
Hi all, The bit about the butternut squash soup made me laugh. Not too long ago (and me a confirmed Step 7 label reader) served Imagine Organic Butternut Squash Soup. Yum! Everyone gobbled it up. I was thinking, "this must have been one heck of a sweet butternut." After dinner I dug the box out of the trash and found "rice syrup" listed among the ingredients. I often use the same brand soup stock, which has just vegetables, so I got fooled... Gail How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
Gail, That makes at least 2 of us. Funny how we had a simmilar story. That's when I went back to not eating soups out and only making them at home. Smile, Bob , Gail Shapiro <weedabutt wrote: > > Hi all, > > The bit about the butternut squash soup made me laugh. Guest guest
OK, so I was in Maine...planned a little gathering of radiant people to come to dinner. Went to the local lobster pound and go some of their famous chowder to go. It came in a big box. I served it. It was fabulous. We all wanted more. When I was cleaning up that night, I noticed that it was not *homemade* at the pound, but came from a vendor with an ingredient label. They added dextrose. Sugar chowder. No wonder we LOVED it so much. We still laugh about it.KathleenOn Oct 16, 2006, at 10:09 PM, alschacht wrote: Ah yes, the infamous yummy chowder!
