Guest guest
Flew from Los Angeles to Detroit yeasterday afternoon. Then drove to Ann Arbor, it's cold, raining, and snowing a little. The weather change is an enjoyable change to visit for a short time. Got to my hotel around 6:00pm. Asked the girl at the Holiday Inn front desk where some good places to go for dinner where? She recommended " The Pit Stop " , The Restaurant in the Hotel, or The Big Boy Restaurant accross the street. For some reason my gut feeling was telling me coverts, coverts, more coverts, and not too many veggy choices. So got in my Rental Car and decided to find something better within the next hour that would enable me to stay on the program. Turned left on Plymouth Road, saw an Applebee's (coverts & salt), Quisno's Sub's (not for dinner), Domino's Pizza (coverts), then I noticed a Kroger Grocery Store, pulled in. Have not been in a Kroger, since Arlington Texas, decided to pull in and stock up. The store layout had the produce on the far right (my Alberstons is on the left). Bought my triscuits, mixed nuts, cottage cheese, extra firm tofu, Gallon of Water, whole wheat pita, two apples. Spent apx $17 and have enough food for 3 day's. Had cottage cheese and pita for dinner last night, then an apple in place of a potato, and felt really good. Decided to stick to my guns, stay 100% on program, not take in any coverts, not feel like eating a pound of salt. I'm sure glad I did.... Went to bed at 10:10 pm EST and slept like a rock, just what I needed to do... Just wanted to share, Bob

We stayed with family who ONLY eats out (it was stressful time for family as my mother had Brain Cancer surgery, etc.) and we certainly blew it!!! We spent too much money on coverts! Good for you!!! That is exactly what we should have done!
