Guest guest
Hello All, Just spent 6 day's visiting my parents in Florida. It was really nice to see them and help them with things. The food part was a little stressful. I'm never changing my food program and don't have much patience for constantly being offered, cookies, cake, stevia, sugar. There alway's comes a point where I have to say I'm getting angry, please back off of the food. Why would you be happy if I had a slice of Boston Creame Pie, it would make me sick and not be true to myself? Makes me glad that I found this program and it have become such an important part of my life. I'm happy to be free of the sugar addiction. My folks just don't get it and most likely never will. I still love them very much. Bob
Guest guest
Hi Bob, It sounds like you handled it well, and I know how you feel. I think in this aspect (as so many others) sugar is just like any other addiction: active addicts are uncomfortable around people who won't participate/condone the addiction. In my pre-RR days, I would have felt the same way. If other people could "resist" sugar, then my belief that sugar was irresistable was threatened. So it would be better if I could get other people to eat some too. I think the holidays are really a time to notice all the changes the program brings.
