Guest guest
Hello, I don't cook beans from scratch much myself but I have heard that fresh ginger cuts the gas as well. This makes sense to me as it is so prevalent in Indian food. For myself I make sure to rinse the canned beans really well until the soapy bubble like stuff has run off. Also if I store leftover beans in the fridge I keep th container slightly ajar to allow gas to escape (this keeps them from going bad longer) & I rinse them again before eating them. -Kathie , " sniklejo " <sniklejo wrote: > > I do two things to help with the gas...I throw away the water they soaked in but probably even more significant I learned to cut off a 3 or 4 inch section of kombu and add it to beans.
