Guest guest
Good Morning, I'm in the kitchen working with my $7 worth of Potatoes, Oats, Rice, Lentils, & Nuts. This is more then enough to sustain me for the entire work week (4 day's M-Th). Never really thought about it, but I've spent more then this on many more things this year, like parking, tolls, snacks, a sandwhich, ringtones, instant messaging fees, etc, etc, etc. I'm feeling really good about this. This program is a real lifesaver and keeps me in balance. Just felt like sharing. Bob
Guest guest
I really love this post, Bob. Thanks for reminding us how simple the program (and our lives) really can be. I have needed to revert back to a non-veg diet since becoming pregnant because I could not keep my blood sugar (and nausea) stable on just veg. proteins. But I am hoping that since I am entering my 2nd trimester and things are calming down, I will be able to go back again. We'll see what the baby has in mind Meanwhile, it is something to look forward to for when the time is right again. I would probably throw in a bag of green peas and a few fruits to make myself feel really good, maybe creeping that cost up to around $10/work week Life is really good Cheers, Nadine , " Bob " <yogabob7 wrote: > > Good Morning, > > I'm in the kitchen working with my $7 worth of Potatoes, Oats, Rice, Lentils, & Nuts. Guest guest
Bob, thanks *so* much for sharing this! I'm finally starting to eat a much more vegetarian way. It's been a long time coming! I've been eating a lot of cheese (way too much <smile>) because I'm not sure how to get enough protein. Reading your post, I'm not sure how you do it, but I'd love to try! <grin> I've been inquiring about recipes and protein sources, but I just realized that there's files for this in the group, so I'm going to go and check them out! Guest guest
Nadine, I like your suggestions on what to add, have not had peas for awhile, though worried they may cause a spike. You need to take care of yourself really well, if it means eating other forms of dense protein more power to you as your eating for two now. I'm now up to about $11 now for the week had a couple of cups of decaf toffee rubios Ice Tea. I have been eating really healthy food, and have once again found an abundance and a new humble vibe about the power of the program. I'm glad your here and doing well.
