Guest guest
hello Linda and welcome ! nice to see you! an american cup is 8 oz. stick of butter is 4 oz I think ? I got too addled with it all and so bought myself some cup measurements at Waitrose ! so I dont have to think anymore. Its a by volume measure really, isnt it. mine say : 1 cup =250 ml 1/2 cup = 125 ml 1/3 cup 80 ml 1/4 cup= 60 ml some pyrex jugs have them on the side too, my big one does. But the cups are most convenient. They were not at all dear and I use the big cup all the time for a ladle as well! I need help with the tablespoon. My official measure is 15 ml, and I think they are the same? *help* Ive always used my ordinary one. ( I never use the tblsp measure though as it never quite works I use grandmas old tblsp!) good luck on finding vegetarian meals to suit, and dont forget to share any good ones you find. , " lindaeast2004 " <lindaeast2004 wrote: > > > Hi Mosaic > > I just found this list - it's really good. Guest guest
Hi Mosaic Thanks for the helpful info. I'm going to Euroranch soon and I believe a group excursion to Lakeland is on the programme, so may I can pick up some US-style 'cup' measures there. Yeah, I'll certainly share any recipes. I used to make a lovely lentil bake when I was veggie years ago - I'll have to see if I can remember how it goes.
